As promised, I’ve decided to have a little fun with these next few blog posts—hopefully to give you a laugh or two and to remind you that it’s totally okay to embrace the lighter side of life, even at a school known for its academic rigor.
1. Monday — The One Who Creates the Google Doc and Immediately Disappears
Shows up with big energy. Sends a message in the group chat like “Hey team!! So excited to work with y’all 🫶 here’s the doc!!!”
…And is never heard from again. Monday sets the tone and abandons us with no plan and minimal serotonin.
2. Tuesday — The Try-Hard Who Doesn’t Trust Anyone and Low-Key Starts Doing the Whole Thing Themselves
Tuesday is out here rewriting Monday’s section, color-coding the doc, and sending “gentle reminders” in the group chat. They are tired. They are bitter. They are holding the team together with iced coffee and silent rage.
3. Wednesday — The One Who Has No Idea What’s Going On
“What class is this for again?”
“Wait, is this due today?”
Wednesday is confused but vibes well. They contribute moral support, mild chaos, and one (1) bullet point before logging off and vanishing into the void.
4. Thursday — The One Who Tries to Fix the Vibes
Brings snacks. Drops a meme in the chat. Says things like “We got this!!” even though everything is on fire. Tries to schedule a meeting that no one shows up to. They are the glue. They are also crying.
5. Friday — The Procrastinator Who Comes In Clutch at the Last Second
Friday rolls in at 11:58 PM with Red Bull, anxiety, and results. They write half the doc in 20 minutes, cite everything with zero confidence, and somehow still make it look polished. Will absolutely say “just submitted!” while gasping for air.
6. Saturday — The One Who Thinks the Project Is Already Over
“Didn’t we turn this in already?”
Saturday is mentally on a picnic. No notifications. No responsibilities. They show up the following week surprised that grades exist. We should all aspire to be Saturday.
7. Sunday — The One Cleaning Up the Mess
Sunday is tired. Sunday is editing out typos, reformatting citations, and reattaching broken Google Drive links. They’re not mad, just disappointed. Also kind of mad.
