It’s springing! Springing is the term I have used to describe that Amherst is not as dead as it is in the winter season. Finally, the sun is touching my skin, the trees are still a little dead but I would like to pretend they are blossoming. After a very long winter with icicles, 6-inch snow, and one snow day, I am finally over it. I am reflecting on the first blog post I was talking about on my first snow day. It still is memorable, I can remember the feeling I had the moment I saw little bits of snow fall from the sky and cover. Now that we had several months of it and now that the sun has melted every bit of snow I will say I am definitely a summer person.
It makes sense, growing up in Los Angeles and lacking sun for weeks does mess with your mood a little. I am finally able to sit on the green lawn chairs that are dispersed all around campus. Everyone seems to be outside, enjoying the sun, others reading others on their computers sunbathing. It is nice to have them back and be able to use them. The chairs do remind me of September of last year therefore I would say the green lawn chairs are more than just chairs. It is a spot to reflect and relax on beautiful sunny days even if it smells like cow maneuver outside.
